Chris Pratt Is Constructing a Pacific Palisades Mansion

Chris Pratt has had a whirlwind year, announcing his engagement to now-wife Katherine Schwarzenegger in January, moving in with her that same month, and tying the knot with her less than six months later. And it seems the Avengers star has another big change on the horizon—shacking up with her in a Pacific Palisades mansion which Variety reports he purchased around a year ago for $15.6 million.

The deal happened off-market, which is why the news stayed quiet for so long, and the home was unfinished when the Jurassic World actor bought it. It is unclear when construction will be complete, but the dwelling will reportedly span an impressive 10,000 square feet, with five bedrooms and six bathrooms. It is located in a family-friendly gated community with just five other homes, none of which is owned by celebrities. Importantly, Pratt’s new purchase is located just about two miles away from his ex-wife Anna Faris’s new Pacific Palisades abode, which she reportedly purchased for $4.9 million last year, in keeping with their divorce agreement that they must live within five miles of each other for the sake of their young son, Jack.

The hillside lot originally housed an 8,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style home built in 1995, but it has since been expanded into the planned 10,000-square-foot abode, with a more traditional-style aesthetic. Other amenities will include a home gym, a wine cellar, and a pool house, as well as a newly installed infinity-edge swimming pool and a generously proportioned garage capable of holding multiple luxury vehicles.

Photos of the property show an unfinished home in progress that stands three stories tall, and will likely be customized to both Pratt and Schwarzenegger’s liking. Currently, the pair resides in a home in West Los Angeles, though the exact neighborhood is unclear.

Pratt and Faris called it quits on their marriage in 2017 after nine years together, and listed their Hollywood Hills home for $4.995 million the following year. They purchased the Mediterranean-style home together for $3.3 million in 2013.
